Quel soin stupéfiant apporté dans la restitution de chaque mot avant « Or sai chi l’onore ». Quelle gestion dans la respiration ! Quelle série de la aigus affûtés ! … Nous chavirons enfin devant les nuances inouïes déployées par la cantatrice dans « Non mi dir », où elle se fait opalescente, diaphane. Il faut entendre son « la costanza » émis ppp : à fondre ! … Nous avouons n’avoir jamais été ému aux larmes dans ce passage comme ce soir. Passionnante de bout en bout, la prestation de Madame Phillips lui promet un bel avenir. Assurément, une voix à suivre assidûment.”
