Next year in May we at Musikfabrik are hosting the SIMM research seminar #7 on the role of composers in social and community music projects.
The seminar is planned to take place from 9 to 11 May 2024 at the Ensemble MusikFabrik in Cologne.
This research-seminar will welcome a small group of post-graduate students, early-career researchers as well as experienced researchers – who are all involved in ongoing research on the possible role of composers and music composition in social and community music programmes – to spend a 3-day seminar during which they will share their research experiences with each other.
The following facilitators will help the sharing of experiences and ideas and research methodologies: Prof. Dr. Lukas Pairon (SIMM & Chair Jonet), Cathy Milliken, someone the Hochschule für Musik und Danz Köln.

Very interesting article, asking a lot of the same questions that I have been busy with these last years. It hasn't been my objective to build a self-improvising machine like SOMAX2, but it provides a lot of parallel questions and lines of research that contribute to my interest in creating interactive musical systems.
