CALLING ALL DESIGNERS

On behalf of Clean Shelter, you are warmly invited to participate in a design intensive this August in Berlin.

is a grassroots humanitarian organization founded by two women: Seba Abudaqa, a Palestinian from Gaza, and Tom Kelner, an Israeli. Together, they launched Clean Shelter in response to the devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with the vision of providing clean water, sanitation, and dignified shelter to communities most impacted by displacement and conflict. Clean Shelter operates with a deep commitment to locally led, community-based solutions. As a result, since 2023 they have has established living spaces, washing areas, and water desalination infrastructure.

Drawing from their work in Gaza, Clean Shelter have identifies a critical gap in the current humanitarian aid shelter supply —particularly in the design of tents and emergency shelters provided by international aid organizations. You are invited to join clean shelter at the Floating University Berlin and support Clean Shelter’s work through response to design briefs emerging from the ngo’s work.
