CDLX for The Topography Of Terror

Another project we are glad to be reminded of.

After months of research work, design theorist Caroline Höfler and the architecture historian Matthias Karch, developed concept for the exhibition »March Formations. The N**i Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg«.

CDLX had the honour to developed the visual concept and to transform the exhibition context into a strong visual language.

»The challenge was to find a way to communicate this exhibition with a strong identity which catches people’s attention without judging the subject matter in a positive or in a negative way.
It was also important to us to develop a design which ‘hurts’ the observer the same way it hurts us when we think back and confront ourselves with Germany’s dark past. The exhibition is also saying a lot about rhythm, structure and monotonic procedures. This context got us from the beginning and we wanted to transform into a strong visual language.«

Earlier this week we published a case study for the new corporate design of University of Bielefeld.
After one year of work, the new corporate design will be presented to the public on May 10 in a festive act. Congrats!

With its 50th anniversary, the University of Bielefeld presents itself with a new appearance. Founded in 1969 as a reform university, Bielefeld rewrote and redefined history of science in a very short time and is still working today on the big problems and questions of our time.
