FINAL STAIR have just released their lead single “Under Fire” from their same-titled album, due out in March. As usual, produced, recorded and mixed by René Jacobi.

In this song the band critically examines the current situation in our society and realizes that we and our society are constantly under attack or under fire. Nothing seems to be happening in a healthy balance at the moment and open discussions on equal terms seem impossible.

At the same time, the artists want to express hope that we can all determine our own well-being. To quote the American philosopher George Santayana: “Those who do not remember their past are condemned to repeat it.”

FINAL STAIR have released their second single from their upcoming album. As usual, produced, recorded and mixed by René Jacobi.

The band was inspired by a quote from the infamous Roman Emperor Nero, who said, "so great an artist I die" as he allowed Rome to burn down before his eyes.

It is a historical example of how a narcissist, in his rampant megalomania, ultimately lost control of himself and then of everything.

But it is also a very timely warning for those who love themselves above all else and often completely ignore reality. We should all have the courage to escape the fascinating spell of these soul-eating narcissists and take our future into our own hands.
