KULINTANG / PERCUSSION LURV🪘❤️🔥 throwback to my .fm hq set - this specific blend here was my very first moment experimenting with the idea of blending Philippine Indigenous motifs in my sets.
If you’ve been following my recent sets, you should already recognise these hypnotic Kulintang gong strikes 😮💨 this track “Hiya Hng” by .dogma777 (FKA silimarobjects) was the perfect song to close this set as I symbolically opened a new chapter in my musical/ artistic direction.
Blended with my dear friend’s track “IGNIS” by who’s known for his global percussive work. It was really a magical moment for me, a moment of realisation even, that this was the pivoting point for the sound I wanted to go for. You can tell from the way I smiled at the end to my manager who was vibing with it 😂
It’s no secret that every artist that I have played and talked about are great inspirations (personally and to the scene) and have helped me shape my sound. That’s why gatekeeping IDs here will never be an issue -
