What fun it was yesterday to play the music of Steps Ahead with Ett Fett Big Band! Here is a clip from the tune "Both Sides of the Coin" by Michael Brecker, arranged for big band by Erik Strandberg.
Back in Oslo after a great album-release tour in the Netherlands with Harald Walkate, Lorenzo Buffa and Max Sergeant. Here is a little snippet from our gig at the Goois Soul & Jazz Festival. Lorenzo couldn't be with us on this one. To my delight, Thomas Winther Andersen - Norwegian bassist living in the Netherlands, (who I have known since the early 80s), was able to step in. I think this gives a little taste of how much fun we were having!

First coming Monday, the 22nd of December, I will be joining Tore Johansen, Vilde Didriksen, and Knerten Kamfjord to celebrate Chet Baker’s birthday at Herr Nilsen in Oslo. He would have been 96 this year. This has become an annual tradition for Tore, and it will be the second time I take part.
Concert start: 8:00 PM.
I was incredibly fortunate to have played two unforgettable concerts with Chet Baker in 1983. I was both overwhelmed and overjoyed by his mastery and his obvious love of making music! On Monday, we’re going to play songs that Chet recorded and enjoyed playing.
