We are very excited to welcome Nabil Shehata – an outstanding double bassist and conductor. He studied with Michinori Bunya and Esko Laine and gained early international recognition, including winning first prize at the ARD International Music Competition.

He has served as principal double bassist of the Staatskapelle Berlin and, from 2004 to 2008, as principal double bassist of the Berlin Philharmonic. Today, he is also the artistic director of the orchestra at the Barenboim-Said Academy.

An inspiring artist with an impressive career – we are very much looking forward to working with him❣️
