🌳 In 2021, Brazilian skydiver Luigi Cani took conservation to new heights by releasing 100 million tree seeds over a deforested section of the Amazon rainforest. During a single skydive, he used a specially engineered dispersal system to spread seeds from 27 native tree species across the landscape. 🪂

The mission was designed to support reforestation efforts and help speed up the recovery of damaged rainforest areas. While a single seed drop is not enough to reverse deforestation on its own, the project demonstrated how innovation and environmental action can work together to restore ecosystems and protect one of the planet’s most vital forests.

Sometimes, a step toward healing nature begins with a leap from the sky.

At first, it seems impossible — the ball rises from underwater, then suddenly bursts apart or rapidly expands near the surface. But the real explanation is pure physics.
Pressure underwater increases dramatically with depth, compressing the air trapped inside objects like balls or sealed containers.
What’s Really Happening: • Water pressure becomes stronger the deeper an object goes
• Air inside the ball gets compressed underwater
• As the ball rises, the surrounding pressure rapidly decreases
• The expanding air pushes outward with increasing force
From a physics standpoint, this is a clear example of pressure and gas expansion. As external pressure drops near the surface, the trapped air expands dramatically.
Why It Can “Explode”: • Weak materials may not withstand the rapid expansion
• Internal pressure can exceed the object’s structural limits
• Sudden decompression creates a powerful outward force
Reality Check: Objects sealed underwater can become dangerous if brought to the surface too quickly because rapid pressure changes can cause violent expansion or rupture.
What appears to be a random explosion is actually gas pressure following the laws of physics perfectly.

Two pilots jumped out of their own airplanes at 14,000 feet and tried to switch aircraft in mid air ✈️ In 2022, Luke Aikins and Andy Farrington attempted the world’s first mid air plane swap. Both pilots exited specially modified Cessna 182s in freefall, crossed the sky using parachutes, and attempted to enter the other moving aircraft before landing. Luke Aikins successfully entered the opposite plane and landed safely. Andy Farrington was unable to board the second aircraft and deployed his parachute, while the unmanned plane crashed in the Arizona desert. Both pilots survived without injuries.
