This small mobile SSA station combines an Observable Space CDK14 tracking telescope with an L350 mount, plus a Celestron RASA 8 wide-field detection telescope.

Equipped with two sensitive Moravian Instruments astronomical cameras and the Baader Planetarium OMS IT solution, this fully integrated system is a turnkey solution for mobile and versatile SSA operations.

The setup can be mounted on a trolley, truck bed, or trailer and becomes operational within just a few minutes.

Nowadays, the Horsehead Nebula is arguably one of the most famous deep-sky objects. It was originally discovered by Williamina Paton Fleming on photographic plates from the Harvard College Observatory. In her notebook, the nebula was described as an "area of nebulosity in a semi-circular indentation."
