Astronomical clock in Prague

Legend has it that the maker of Prague’s famous Astronomical clock was blinded by Prague Councillors so that he couldn’t make another clock for any other city. In revenge, he managed to disable the clock and no-one was skilled enough to repair it for another 100 years, until 1552! Dating from 1410, It’s the oldest astronomical clock still working in the world, and its hourly ‘Walk of the Apostles’ show has mesmerised onlookers for centuries.
