Lushian Larroa

Today I returned to the Universidad de las Artes de Yucatán (UNAY), one of the best in Mexico, where I built a fundamental part of my musical career before beginning my journey through Europe, which eventually led me to settle a residency in Prague.

This is where I studied composition and music production for my bachelor and master’s degree. I remember having many dreams back then, and my love for music made everything possible. Some years were difficult. The level of excellence required was sometimes exhausting, but in the end I succeeded. I was, in fact, the first graduate of the first generation.

I am proud to travel the world representing this university. It trusted me and provided knowledge and experiences that continue to support me today. My studies were a gift to my mother who dreamed of me having some professional studies. She always believed in me and supported me from the first day I told her I wanted to learn to play the guitar, she gave me my first one.

I dedicate every success to my mother and thank this university for trusting me and choosing me. I was fortunate to study with many of the best national and international professors.
Today after so many years, I walk through the art halls and rooms and I couldn’t stoppped feeling amazed. Thank you life and for all the amazing musicians I met and friends I made during those years.
