We are happy to introduce our new engine. We made a lot of improvements to our existing H16BL2 engine, including a new flow path. This allowed us to increase thrust to above 200 N.Together with our partners, we also developed a brand new Engine Control Unit (ECU), where we used our experiences from model turbines and big-size aircraft engines, like temperature and pressure corrections, for steady and transient operations. The control algorithm is based on an accurate Proportional-Integration controller enhanced by a numerical engine model; this allows no need for post-startup calibration and is super throttle-responsive and accurate. The engine has a double-ignition system for high startup reliability. Moreover, the ignitors are now serviceable without the need for full engine disassembly and ballancing.
The starter motor is brushless, and the fuel pump is brushless too, with an integrated controller. All sensors (T1, p1, and EGT) and action units (igniters, valves, and starters) have embedded self-diagnostic algorithms to provide sophisticated diagnostics like in big-size engines. We are continuously working on the development of new diagnostics and self-adjustment control features that such a powerful architecture allows. More great things will come in the future.

New H16BL2 has 1kg more thrust than its predecessor H16 and H16BL, resulting in total 18kg of thust. Same size, same price ! Check and order on our webisite www.hyblturbines.cz. :)
