We’re launching new course! 🧡

This spring, we’re starting ArchiLab — a hands-on architecture & city design course for teenagers, in collaboration with CAMP - Centrum architektury a městského plánování .

ArchiLab is for curious minds who look at buildings and ask “why is it like this?”
Over the semester, students will think like architects, design real building, learn site analysis, draw basic plans, build models, and understand the importance of the civic architecture in the city.

The course is organised by CAMP, in it's fantastic educational space, and all materials are included. We keep the fee as accessible as possible, as making architecture education open to young people remains at the heart of what we do.

If you know a teenager who loves drawing, building, cities — or simply questioning the world around them — this course might be for them.

📍 Every Saturday, 13:00–15:00
📅 7 March – 30 May 2026
🌍 Taught in English (support available in CZ/UA/RO)

This semester, as part of the CAMP Archilab program, we’re hosting three interactive workshops exploring how cities are planned, designed, and lived in. Workshop are free and open to everyone from 12 to 16 years old.

Check out the program below and register via the link in bio — the number of places is limited!

🗓️ Upcoming workshops:
15/11 — Planning the City
Explore the Bubny–Zátory neighborhood through the theme of urbanism. Why do some places feel lively and welcoming while others don’t?
We’ll play games, design neighborhoods, and discover what makes cities thrive — from parks and schools to streets and public spaces.

13/12 — Designing a Park for Everyone
What makes a park truly belong to its neighborhood? Together, we’ll explore public space and community design in Bubny–Holešovice.
Participants will look at different user needs and co-design a park that balances nature, play, and accessibility — learning how planners work with local communities to create spaces for all.

✅ 15/10 — Mobility in the City (already took place)
We explored public transport infrastructure, played games building the Paris metro, and created our own mobility plan for Bubny–Zátory.
Thanks to everyone who joined us — swipe through to see moments from the workshop and CAMP’s exhibition on the future of Prague’s transport!

On March 8th, during our third workshop, the kids learned how to draw sections, a fundamental part of architectural drawing! ✍️

Sections are drawings that show what a building (or a park!) looks like if you sliced through it, helping architects and designers understand the layout and structure in detail. It’s a challenging concept to grasp, but the kids did an incredible job!

We started with simpler exercises to help them understand the basics, and gradually moved on to more complex tasks. By the end of the session, they applied their new skills to their final projects, drawing sections of their own park designs based on the plans they had created earlier. 🌳📐
It was amazing to see their hard work and creativity shine through!

Workshop 4 - Tour with Roman from Pragulic

On Saturday, we went on a tour with Pragulic, an organization that employs and trains homeless people, giving them a chance to restart and provide them with a future. We were led by Roman, a well-known guide and one with a history of homelessness. He took us to one of the shelters near the main train station. Here he described in detail the role of the city and how it provides aid and shelter for those in need. As he led us to one of the homeless camps, he explained to us about his life and the struggles he had to go through. He showed us a camp under the bridge where he used to live, recounting moments such as friendly encounters with the police, and making Christmas decorations to make the camp more homely. The students did not hesitate to ask him questions, even topics that are considered taboo, Roman was eager to answer. The students also had a chance to draw the encampment, noting issues which might be useful for the main project. At the end he led us back to the station and we thanked him for his time.
