With over 2,000 career points collected and currently ranked 19th in the world, many would consider Arthur Fils to have already achieved immense success. Yet, at only 21 years old, he is still incubating what promises to be a long career, with four ATP singles to his name.

On the goalposts he tries to set for himself, Fils shares: “There’s always going to be expectations…especially when you start winning matches. I try not to focus too much on that… I stay focused on the process rather than the ranking.”

For Issue 204, The Beautiful Game, is our second Akoni Eyewear Visionary.

“What does it really mean to build a platform for the future?” asks , one half of boutique architecture firm Charlap Hyman & Herrero alongside . The two principals of the firm are both recent recipients of a 2026 National Design Award. After meeting at RISD, the two have designed Joshua Tree homes to Lower East Side storefronts and performance sets for the Cincinnati Opera, and have bases in Los Angeles, Mexico City, and New York.

Brooke Shields is a generational phenom actor and model, starring in films like ‘Blue Lagoon,’ working on Broadway, and starring in some of the biggest broadcast sitcoms of all time. Her own NBC network vehicle, ‘Suddenly Susan,’ ran for four seasons, earning Golden Globe nominations and a People’s Choice win, and she’s the current president of the Actors’ Equity Association. Now, she is the founder and CEO of , a new range of haircare products specifically formulated for the 40+ market.

On the formulation of the line of hair care products, Shields shares, “I just felt that nobody was marketing to women who are in this era of their lives. There’s a truly powerful demographic of women there. So that’s why I came up with Commence. I always say, it’s like you’re either ‘that hot girl at the bar’ or you’re in Depends, peeing your pants. But we’re right in the middle…we’re not 30, but we’re also not 80, so let’s address the needs that are specific to us.”
