My kids loved exploring Petra. It’s an incredible place. I just wish my older kid wasn’t SO fearless... she kept climbing up, up, up whenever she saw an opportunity!

I am still amazed that we have this location in downtown Amman. This is a large middle eastern city of ~4 million people, but we have green spaces and ancient ruins. And rain. So much rain! Tomorrow they’re calling for snow. 🤷‍♀️

I love the details in this photo: that little moon, and those three sets of little arms between the two biggest columns (my daughters and their best friend, who came all the way from Myanmar to visit us in Jordan last week).
