There is an air on The Mountain that has not circulated freely since the late Nineties: that extraordinary cross-pollination that once went under the name worldbeat, with the Asian Underground as its most visible outpost but with tentacles reaching into every corner of the planet. A holistic mysticism in steampunk guise, a fusion between the sacred geometry of primordial rites and the precision mechanics of an imagined industrial age. The gears, the sonic interlockings, do not merely keep time: they become rhythmic mandalas reflecting the order of the universe, a sonic technology deployed to exalt the interconnection of all things. And the colour is dark. Always dark.
