Protecting What Connects Us All โ The Ocean ๐๐๐โ
To mark this yearโs Day of the Seafarer, our team here at Marlow Navigation India came together last week for a Beach Cleaning Drive at Juhu Beach, Mumbai, removing plastic and other waste from the shoreline.
The oceans are the lifeblood of our industry, connecting nations, enabling global trade, and supporting countless marine ecosystems.
Marine pollution remains one of the worldโs fastest-growing environmental challenges. Millions of tonnes of waste enter them every year, much of it carried from towns and cities through rivers and drainage systems before reaching the sea.
Every piece of litter removed helps prevent further pollution and raises awareness of the importance of responsible waste disposal. Small actions, when multiplied across communities, organisations and individuals, can make a meaningful difference.
As maritime professionals, protecting the environment isnโt just an environmental responsibility, itโs part of who we are. Together, small actions can create a lasting impact. ๐๐
Clean Shores. Healthy Oceans. Sustainable Shipping.

Every seafarer deserves to be recognised for what they bring, and supported to contribute at their best. Opportunities should be based on ability, experience and performance, not limited by background or bias.
Because at sea, what matters is how people perform and rely on each other when it counts. Respect, inclusion, being valued, equal opportunity and camaraderie are vital in building stronger teams, better workplaces and more resilient crews.
Supporting seafarers in the moments that matter most is how we help the industry thrive for generations.
Seafarers move the world.
