⛵ Malcolm Miller - Tall Ships Races – Aberdeen Port 19-22nd July 22, 2025⛵

🛟 Celebrating Maritime Heritage and Sailing tradition

The prestigious, international sailing event Tall Ships Races has taken place in Aberdeen from 19-22nd July, with thousands of visitors having this unique opportunity to step onboard historic sailing ships and enjoy a vibrant lineup of cultural events.

EDT proudly participated with the family-owned Malcolm Miller, one of the original three-masted schooners from the 1960s and the last vessel ever built in Aberdeen.

After sailing 430 nautical miles, having competed against each other all the way from Dunkirk in France, 50 ships from all over the world - from large sailing to smaller single-masted boats - arrived in Aberdeen to take part in the city’s celebration of maritime heritage.

We had a great time welcoming visitors, business partners and friends on board the Malcolm Miller, offering a tour of the boat and sharing personal stories about the boat’s fascinating history over the years.

👏 Congratulations to the Aberdeen City Council and Port of Aberdeen, as well as the volunteers, trainees and crews for organizing this memorable experience!!

📣 EDT Prometheus Achieves SPS Certification Ahead of North Sea Deployment 📣

🔸The DP2 offshore support vessel EDT Prometheus has arrived in the Netherlands in preparation for a new operational phase in the North Sea. The vessel has been secured on a six-month contract, with optional extensions, to support a wide range of diving, inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) activities for key regional offshore energy projects.

🔹 Prior to deployment, the EDT Prometheus underwent a brief but comprehensive outfitting period at EDT Offshore's dedicated dock facilities in the Port of Limassol. During this time, the vessel fully complied with the Code of Safety for Special Purpose Ships (SPS Code 2008, SPS 60), affirming her readiness and suitability for complex offshore assignments.

⭐ The SPS certification is a critical standard for vessels engaged in specialised offshore tasks, particularly where personnel safety and operational reliability are paramount. With her advanced capabilities and DP2 classification, the EDT Prometheus is well-positioned to deliver high-performance service in the demanding environments of the North Sea.
