There comes a point where you realize that very few people can follow you into your depth.
And that is fine.
They are not meant to. Maybe before you resented them for not being able to, maybe you resented yourself for being how you are. But the truth is that there is no point for resentment. Is it not their fault, and not your fault either.
You accept them and you also accept yourself. You own your depth. Not as a badge of honor or proof of supremacy but as an intrinsic part of you.
That is how you are meant to be, just like everybody else is how they are meant to be, and in a more general sense just like everything is how is meant to be.
As somebody I knew once told me “not all souls have ears”. I would add that “even those that have ears, maybe they are not meant to listen”.

Mr Nobody

A migrant working in a construction at 40 degrees carrying iron bars while me lifting weights inside a gym for leisure and by choice. How relative everything is. How (seemingly at least) random. How easy it is to judge, make assumptions, draw conclusions. I could had been him and he could had been me. A father hugs his child and then removes his hands and the child pulls them back around him. How beautiful. What a miracle. A middle-aged woman makes a stop at the cemetery to lay flowers on a grave. A couple look indifferent to each other in their car, giving the impression that each one wants to jump out from their own window. Another couple walk and laugh and tease each other. Someone siting alone at a bench, gazing the sky. We are all in this together. Tragic, beautiful, messy, confusing, miraculous, whatever it is, and however it keeps changing, we are all in this together, let us remember that occasionally.
