After a 20-year friendship that began in music, the virtuoso heavyweights Gery Mendes and Randell Heye once again join forces for a unique, poetic, musical journey. One that takes us to their roots from Cape Verde, across the Atlantic to Suriname, back to the continent of their ancestors, Africa aka Alkebulan. Time travel through dreams and the imagination, the Black Joy, with glimpses of a utopia. A search for the musical sounds in other times. A collaboration between brothers and the ancestors.
