WHO AM I?

Hello everyone - long time no posts! 🙈 For those of you who are new to this profile, as well as those who forgot me 😅, here’s a quick introduction.

My name is Olivera, but my students mostly call me Oli. This is a self-made nickname that I created when I started working with people who couldn’t pronounce my full name (Japanese, Filipinos, Mexicans, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.) I am 31 this year and trying not to make a big deal about it 😁 I am happily married and a mother of two young boys.

I’m a journalist by profession, but English and teaching it is my true passion. I’ve been teaching online for the last 7 years - starting with online schools from working with the aforementioned nationalities, and opening my own school in 2018. Working with people who chose me for my energy or got a recommendation for me from my mentors, friends and business partners, has been truly rewarding. I have found myself surrounded by like-minded individuals who decided to work on their English in order to improve their career or overall life. These people (mostly women at this point) are so passionate, open-minded, ambitious, spiritual and overall inspiring thatI honestly don’t feel like I am working when I’m in a class with them. I have created my dream job!

Other than work, I like to dance, sing, and spend time with my family and friends. I highly value this time and that is another reason that I chose to be an entrepreneur - choosing when I work, who I work with, and how much I make has brought freedom and happiness to me and my loved ones.
