Intersection Centre for Science and Innovation participated at this amazing EQUALS-EU event in Riga.

🌟 It’s a wrap: We are delighted to share with you some impressions from the EQUALS-EU Final Conference that was organised last week in Riga! What a week full of exchanges and brainstorming about alternative ways to promote and in !

Our conference was run in parallel to the VIth International Economic Forum hosted by our project partner Institute of Economics of the LZA Ekonomikas Institūts on 21-22 September.

On the first day, our project lead Jo Cramer presented our project's key outcomes to the forum participants and shared some insights on what we have learnt through our various activities.

On the second day, it was the time for EQUALS-EU partners to share the outcomes of their activities through paper presentations. A big thanks to:

📌 Zelal Özdemir and Asuman Özgür Keysan for presenting their research results about gender equality in the Turkish ICT sector
📌Jaimee Stuart for sharing insights from the hackathons promoting gender equity in the East Asian context
📌 Carolina Earl for introducing innovation discourse into the debate
📌 Yue Zhao for her inspiring presentation on women’s healthcare in digital age.

This was complemented by an overview of our project’s co-creation activities by Camille Dobler and a panel discussion with all the speakers moderated by Caroline Wamala Larsson to reflect on key learnings from innovation camps and hackathons organised by the partnership in 20 countries.

👏👏👏 We concluded our Final Conference, but we still have three months to go until our project ends!

Udruženje studenata informatike FONIS ove godine organizuje deseti po redu FON Hakaton, 24-časovno programersko takmičenje na kom timovi od 3 ili 4 člana kreiraju softverska rešenja na zadati problem. Takmičenje će se održati 18. i 19. marta na Fakultetu organizacionih nauka.

Ako voliš izazove, želiš da primeniš dosadašnja znanja iz programiranja i stekneš nova, onda je FON Hakaton idealna prilika za tebe! Na takmičenju ćeš osetiti značaj timskog rada, upoznati nove ljude i steći nove prijatelje.
