Data Engineer in UK-based Tech company
Remote | European Time Zone

Be the first Data Engineer in a fast-growing team and help build the company’s data infrastructure and pipelines from scratch.

What you’ll do:
— Build and maintain production data pipelines and data marts from the current state
— Organize and structure data in existing databases
— Clean, transform and prepare data to support analysts and reporting
— Ensure data quality and compliance with GDPR/UK Data Protection.
— Automate routine tasks and support basic DataOps workflows.
— Collaborate with Data Team to establish processes and standards.

Who we’re looking for:
— Experience with production data pipelines and GCP (BigQuery or equivalent).
— Knowledge of databases, data workflows, and pipeline orchestration.
— Ability to work independently
— English fluency
Bonus points: AWS/Azure, distributed systems, message queues, CI/CD for data pipelines.

Чем предстоит заниматься:
— Поддержка и развитие дата-пайплайнов в историческом и реальном времени, включая агрегацию, обработку и верификацию данных.
— Разработка и оптимизация Python‑скриптов для интеграции данных из внешних источников и работы с потоками данных.
— Обеспечение качества данных: настройка и развитие процессов верификации, своевременное выявление и исправление ошибок.
— Развитие инфраструктуры: организация хранения и доступа к сырым данным (Data Lake), рефакторинг пайплайнов, оптимизация хранения неагрегированных данных.
— Обслуживание систем: мониторинг, реагирование на алерты, устранение неполадок и обеспечение стабильной работы критичных сервисов.
