On February 27, announced that its First-in-Class ™ Piezoelectric Coronary CTO Crossing Guidewire has received official approval from the National Medical Products Administration ( ) of China through the Innovative Medical Device Special Review ("Green Channel") program.

🚀 Product Highlights:
The system converts electrical energy into precisely controlled high-frequency mechanical vibrations, transmitted along the guidewire shaft to its distal tip, enabling targeted antegrade mechanical impulses to facilitate CTO lesion pe*******on and micro-channel creation.

1️⃣ Enhanced Pe*******on of Complex CTO Lesions: Effectively addresses resistant fibrotic proximal caps and heavily calcified occlusions that may be refractory to conventional guidewires.

2️⃣ Improved Revascularization Success: Lesion-targeted mechanical energy delivery supports successful recanalization and restoration of coronary blood flow across a broader CTO patient population.

3️⃣ Reduced Procedural Risk and Optimized Efficiency: Controlled lesion crossing may reduce wire escalation, shorten procedure time, and lower potential intra-procedural risks, thereby enhancing overall treatment safety.

The approval of FireSpear™ marks a significant milestone in our commitment to advancing coronary artery disease treatment, showcasing our strong R&D capabilities and ability to translate cutting-edge engineering into clinically meaningful innovation. Looking ahead, we aim to enable more patients worldwide to live .

At JIM GISE held in Rome, Italy on February 5, 2026, invited Professor Fei Ye and Professor Wei You's team from Nanjing First Hospital to present a complex PCI procedure through a cross-border live case demonstration, earning high recognition from interventional experts worldwide.

Guided by precise intravascular imaging and a standardized treatment pathway, the team addressed the complex lesion using MicroPort's integrated coronary intervention portfolio. Under IVUS guidance, the procedure began with the ™ 1.25 mm Integrated Coronary Rotational Atherectomy System followed by the ™ 3.0 × 12 mm Intravascular Lithotripsy System to effectively modify calcification and optimize vessel compliance. A 3.0 × 33 mm FireHawk™ Sirolimus Targeted Drug Eluting stent was then precisely implanted to achieve full lesion coverage, while the ™ 3.0 × 25 mm Sirolimus Drug Coated Balloon was applied to optimize the side-branch ostium. Post-procedural imaging showed satisfactory vessel patency and coronary flow.

This cross-border live case highlighted the strengths of our total solution for complex coronary lesions and provided valuable insight for the global interventional community. MicroPort also sincerely appreciates the strong support and outstanding professionalism demonstrated by the expert team from Nanjing First Hospital. Moving forward, we will continue to advance innovative coronary technologies to benefit patients worldwide.
