Electromagnetic Flow Measurement in Bio-based Materials Processing 🌱

In a straw comprehensive utilization industrial park project (Phase I, 20,000 t/a), electromagnetic flowmeters play a critical role across the entire process—covering pretreatment, mild hydrolysis, separation, utilities, and environmental treatment.

Designed to handle fiber-containing slurries, weakly corrosive medium, and large-diameter pipe systems, electromagnetic flowmeters provide accurate and stable flow data for material–water ratio control, solvent dosing, energy accounting, and environmental compliance. Integrated with DCS systems, they support precise control of mild hydrolysis (120-160 °C), enabling high cellulose purity and efficient hemicellulose extraction, while also helping achieve ≥95% process water reuse and zero-waste utilization.

This project demonstrates how proper instrument selection and process-oriented configuration of electromagnetic flowmeters can translate advanced laboratory bio-based technologies into stable, scalable industrial production—offering a replicable reference for future straw high-value utilization projects.
