Sprout on-call online English teacher needed

WHO WE ARE
Sprout, a dynamic online English teaching company, established in 2012 in China with branches in Beijing, Changsha and Shanghai. We provide small group lessons based on well-recognized American textbooks, teaching materials and curriculum for our 6000+ registered Chinese students. Sprout is now looking for additional long-term experienced ESL and non-ESL teachers to join the team.

SPROUT'S OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOU
• Work from home and choose your own available hours
• 50 and 60 minute classes with 2- 4 students between 5 and 15 years old
• Class material is provided for you
• Standard, recognized US teaching materials and methods are supported
• A various of subjects are offered
• Help you thoroughly learn about online teaching operating mode

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Teachers need to be available for the entire on-call time, and finish the work as follows:
• Demonstration classes
• Complete the assigned classes if the original teacher is unavailable
• Interim work such as training new teachers, developing curriculum, attending promotional activities during stipulated hours
• Attend the training session as required

BENEFIT
• Teachers’ payment consists of the following two parts
1) Basic monthly salary: $1000-$1400
2) Teaching bonuses will be paid if the teacher finishes the on-call classes with quality: $10/h during stipulated hours; $15/h beyond stipulated hours
• Paid 20-hour off during the first six months
• Paid 7-day off during Spring Festival

QUALIFICATIONS
• English native speakers from the US or Canada
• Experience in education field required
• TESOL, TEFL or similar teaching certification preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
• Be available for 20 hours/week at least
• Experience in curriculum design and PPT development preferred
• Multitask and reliable

HOURS
A minimum of 14-20 hours/week during peak time for a period of six months is required
Peak time slots(Beijing Time, UTC+8):
7 pm to 9 pm every evening, 8-11am on weekends
