Topic: ENDURANCE or THE WAITING PERIOD.

Between the promise of God and the fulfilment of the promise is the waiting period ( Endurance)
--Endurance is the capacity to withstand pressure. It is also the ability to put on circumstance without giving off.
--Everybody needs endurance.
Sub topic: FIVE AREAS TO ENDURE IN.
(1) Endure hardship( 2 Timothy 2:3-4)
This involve discipline training and a focus on your mind. You will go through pain of lack, sickness, etc for long but you will not give off.
(2) Endure hostility ( Hebrews 12:3-2)
It means you will have cases of unfriendliness and opposition.Jesus recieved hostility also in the following ways.
(a) Mockery.
For example you will be asked " How Far will you go"?
(b) Rejection;
No matter who you are, they are people who will reject you. They will talk about you. You suffer rejection from everywhere because of one thing or the other. You feel pain when you are rejected, yet you have to endure.
(3) intimidation.
(4) Black mail.
When you are being back mail , it shows you are doing something.
(5) Contradiction.
It is when the reality of your life does not conform with your expectation. You have to confess positively by faith.
Note that : NEVER TRY TO PLEASE THOSE WHO HAVE REJECTED YOU BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER PLEASE THEM.

(1) Persevere in holiness ( Hebrews 12:15)
(2) Persevere in prayer( 1 Thessalonian 5:17)
(3) persevere in God's word.( Colossians 3:16)
(4) Persevere in Faith( 1 Timothy 6:12)
(5) Persevere in thanks giving(1 Thessalonian 5:17)
(6) Persevere in doing good ( Galatians 6:9)
There other areas to persevere in, but no one has persevered in these six universal areas and it failed him.
