International Day of Peace 2025
Theme: “Act Now for a Peaceful World”
Today, we join the world in reflecting on the urgent call for peace. For us, peace is not just the absence of war—it is the foundation of dignity, inclusion, and hope.
The absence of peace has a heavy cost. It shatters lives, destroys communities, and increases the number of persons with disabilities through war injuries, landmines, gender-based violence, and untreated health conditions. For those already living with disabilities, conflict brings double exclusion—being left behind in evacuations, facing inaccessible aid, and struggling with social isolation.
Peace is protection. Peace is prevention. Peace is the chance for every person, regardless of ability, to learn, work, and thrive.
💡 On this International Day of Peace, let us commit to:
✔️ Standing against violence in all its forms.
✔️ Building inclusive systems that protect the most vulnerable.
✔️ Acting together, now, for a peaceful and accessible world.
Albert Jacquard : « L’amélioration d’un groupe n’a pas pour base l’élimination des moins bons, ni la sélection des meilleurs. Elle vient des personnes handicapées qui ont surmonté leur handicap. »
