During the celebration of National Unity Day on May 20 in Buea, El Hadj BAKO Harouna, General Manager of SONARA, received a prestigious distinction in recognition of his commitment and leadership at the helm of the company.
On behalf of the Cameroonian Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya, the Governor of the South-West Region, Mr Bernard Okalia Bilai, officially elevated him to the rank of Grand Commander of Honour of Merit.
This high distinction rewards the constant efforts made since his appointment as the General Manager of SONARA, as well as the remarkable work accomplished to ensure the stability of this strategic company for the Cameroonian economy.
The distinction also reflects the determination of the country’s highest authorities to encourage dedication in serving the Nation with honour and dignity.

À l’occasion de la célébration de la Fête de l’Unité Nationale ce 20 mai à Buea, El Hadj BAKO Harouna, Directeur Général de la SONARA a reçu une distinction prestigieuse qui vient saluer son engagement, son leadership à la tête de la SONARA.
Au nom du Chef de l’État camerounais, Son Excellence Paul Biya, le Gouverneur de la Région du Sud-Ouest, M. Bernard OKALIA BILAI, a procédé à son élévation au grade de grand Commandeur de l’Ordre de la Valeur.
Cette haute distinction récompense les efforts constants déployés depuis sa nomination à la tête de la SONARA, ainsi que le travail remarquable accompli pour la stabilité de cette entreprise stratégique pour l’économie camerounaise.
Cette distinction illustre également la volonté des plus hautes autorités de l’État d’encourager le dévouement à avoir servi la Nation avec Honneur et dignité.
