Cameroon has launched its National RMNCAH Strategy (2025–2030), a bold step toward improving maternal and child health. Its a year already.......

But let’s be honest:
Strategies don’t save lives. Implementation does.
With maternal mortality still alarmingly high, the challenges are not new:

-Underfunded health systems
-Shortage of skilled health workers
-Limited access to emergency obstetric care
-Deep inequalities in rural and conflict-affected areas

We already know what works.
What Cameroon needs now is:
✔ Real investment in primary healthcare
✔ More midwives and frontline health workers
✔ Functional emergency obstetric care (EmONC)
✔ Reduced financial barriers for women
✔ Strong accountability and data systems
Because no woman dies from pregnancy due to a lack of knowledge
they die from a lack of access, quality care, and timely intervention.
This strategy has the potential to be transformational.
But only if backed by political will, financing, and accountability.
The question is no longer “What should be done?”
It is “Will we actually do it?”

Home Care Medics (HCM) Cameroon is a health organization dedicated to improving healthcare access by providing affordable medical services and innovative care solutions, while helping reduce the growing burden on healthcare practitioners across Cameroon.
Through this partnership, FHF and HCM Cameroon will collaborate to strengthen community health services, promote accessible and affordable care, and support vulnerable populations through outreach programs, preventive health education, and improved healthcare delivery.
