World water day reminds us that: water is life and we all share responsibility for protecting it.
It is a global awareness day; it was instituted by the United Nations and internationally observed to be celebrated every March 22. It focuses on; #%& The importance of clean and safe water #%& The need to manage water resources responsibly #%& Raising awareness about the billions of people who lack access to safe drinking water #%&.

THE LIGHT alongside other CSOs commemorated world water day this year under the theme: WATER AND GENDER. Our advocacy site was: BWITINGI/BWITEVA Communities of BUEA and its environs.
It is important to note that we: Raised Awareness, Inspired Action, Support Global Goals (goal 6, clean water and sanitation for all), highlight the importance of water (drinking& hygiene, agriculture, ecosystem).
