Happy New Month fam🤗
The Reconciliation and Development Association -RADA, with support from the T1D Community Fund, successfully held its Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Cohort 2 Picnic in Bafoussam on June 25 and 26 2026, under the inspiring theme: “Fueling Our Strength: A Picnic of Champions.”
Officially welcoming the participants, RADA’s CEO/ Project Director, Mr. Ferdinant M. Sonyuy, reminded everyone that the picnic was born from the voices of the children and caregivers. He emphasized that this was more than a recreational activity; it was an opportunity for families to collaborate, support one another, and continue improving the quality of life of children living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Day One was a beautiful blend of relaxation, learning and adventure. After a refreshing morning exercise, blood sugar checks, and interactive sessions, the participants embarked on an unforgettable journey to two remarkable destinations: Chefferie de Bapa and Tagidor Resort.
At the Chefferie de Bapa, the children and their caregivers explored the rich cultural heritage of the Grassfields through the palace museum. They learned the importance of preserving our traditions, and protecting our natural resources. One message stood out and touched every heart:“Never accept people seeing you as less because of your condition. You are not inferior to anyone. Believe in yourself, value what you have, and always be happy.” Said HRM the Fon of Bapa.
The adventure continued at TAGIDOR Resort, where participants embraced the serenity of nature, discovering beautiful landscapes.
The day ended with smiles, renewed confidence, stronger friendships, and the reassuring reminder that living with Type 1 Diabetes does not define a person’s worth, it reveals their strength.
💙 Together, we are raising champions, building resilience, and creating unforgettable memories.

Dear Fam☺️
As we round off with the month of June, we are delighted to share a meaningful milestone from the Education Department of RADA. With support from donors, RADA supported a few orphaned children aged 5-15 years who have been affected by the ongoing anglophone armed conflict in the Northwest region of Cameroon.
The team visited the Garden of Healing and Education Orphanage at GRA upstation Bamenda, where they were able to directly impact 9 children, offering them care, support, and renewed hope for their education and well-being.
Every smile, every conversation, and every moment shared reminded us why this work matters. With this outreach, we as an organization remain committed to standing with vulnerable children, strengthening education, and restoring dignity.
