Child Safety Doesn't Happen by Accident. It's Assessed For. 🧸
Every toy sold in the EU is required to meet strict safety requirements — not as a formality, but because children interact with products differently than adults do.
MTIC InterCert has been a Notified Body (CE 0068) under the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC, authorised to carry out EC Type-Examination (Article 20) — one of the key conformity assessment procedures under the Directive.
The process follows three stages:
📄 Documental Evaluation — reviewing the technical documentation behind the product 🧪 Test Laboratory — carrying out testing with reference to the applicable regulations ✅ Certification — issuing the EC Type-Examination certificate
Safety for children shouldn't be assumed. It should be assessed.

With over 55 years of heritage in the TIC sector, seeing our partners and colleagues so dedicated to rigorous conformity and risk mitigation was incredibly rewarding.
