“Talk about it. Seek help.” day 3.12.2020 – On 10 December 2020 there will be a day of action all over Switzerland: “Talk about it. Seek help.”. In these times of coronavirus it’s designed to help boost people’s mental and emotional wellbeing.

FSP is seeking your story on challenges accessing psychotherapy.

The weaknesses of the delegation model

We expect the Federal Council to make a decision on the proposed model change from the delegation to the arrangement model in the near future. The FSP would like to show again in the media why the model change is needed. Not least against the background that the current pandemic has a direct impact on the mental health of many people and makes a model change all the more necessary.
We are looking for people who are ready to bear witness to the difficulties in finding a suitable psychotherapy place for psychotherapy.

We need strong stories that show why the adoption of the ordering model is necessary and urgent. The FSP is looking for people who can testify to this because:
- you have been waiting for several weeks to start therapy;
- they had to wait a long time for treatment and their situation has worsened in the meantime (chronification of the disease, etc.);
- they had to pay for their treatment themselves or had to give up treatment because of the costs involved;
- they have not found a therapy place that meets their needs;
- they are confronted with a different situation that shows the need for action.

Do you know anyone who corresponds to any of these profiles? Please contact them and ask for permission to forward their contact details to the FSP with a brief description of their situation. This assumes that you are released from professional secrecy, whereby the focus will not be on the patient's medical history, but on access to therapeutic care. If this is desired, we can also guarantee the anonymity of the person.

After a short interview, we make an appointment with those affected, we send interested journalists a summary of the situation with the contact details.
