An unforgettable tasting, with wines that left a lasting impression…
1️⃣ Coume Ginest 2015 – Domaine Gauby
Everyone guessed Riesling thanks to those distinctive petrol notes. A Roussillon white that fooled the entire table.
2️⃣ Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru 2017 – Domaine Bruno Clair
Surprisingly open and expressive for such a young vintage. Already showing impressive depth.
3️⃣ Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Saint-Jacques 1er Cru 2011 – Domaine Bruno Clair
A legendary terroir, here in perfect maturity, combining finesse, intensity, and balance.
4️⃣ Gevrey-Chambertin 1er cru Combe aux Moines Vieilles Vignes 2014 – Domaine Fourrier
Pure red fruit, silky texture, a crystalline definition of Gevrey.
5️⃣ Musigny Grand Cru 2017 – Joseph Drouhin
Simply incredible! A wine of absolute grace, with depth and length that command respect.
6️⃣ Nuits-Saint-Georges “La Petite Charmotte” 2021 – Charles Lachaux
A vibrant and refined style, bursting with fruit, with that modern touch that defines Lachaux’s signature.
7️⃣ Cornas 2009 – Domaine Auguste Clape
The power of the Northern Rhône: bold, sun-drenched, yet remarkably precise.
8️⃣ Hermitage 2009 – Domaine Jean-Louis Chave
An absolute bomb: concentration, intensity, and perfect balance. Chave at its very peak.
9️⃣ Château Climens 1986 – Barsac 1er Cru Classé
A noble sweet wine, honeyed and candied, still lifted by vibrant freshness after nearly 40 years.
👉 Highlights of the evening:
Coume Ginest mistaken for Riesling,
Clos de Bèze 2017 surprisingly open,
Musigny 2017 absolutely stunning,
and the Hermitage Chave 2009, a bomb.

Great wines, face to face.
A tasting designed around thematic duos, to explore what brings wines together — and what sets them apart.
Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Morgeot” 2014 – Jean-Claude Ramonet
A taut, mineral white Burgundy with Ramonet’s signature depth and clarity.
Duo 1 – Grands Échézeaux, two visions of a Grand Cru:
2. Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru 2007 – Domaine Sirugue
Gentle, soft, already harmonious.
3. Grands Échézeaux Grand Cru 2012 – Domaine Georges Noëllat
Youthful and dense, yet with the same refined texture.
→ Shared identity: one terroir, two generations, two styles.
Duo 2 – Vintage 2000, North and South in conversation:
4. Château Palmer 2000 – Margaux
Elegant, mature, with classic Left Bank charm.
5. Grange des Pères 2000 – Languedoc
Southern sun in a bottle: deep, spicy, unmistakable.
→ Shared identity: two ageworthy 2000s, each at the top of its region.
Harlan Estate 1999 – Napa Valley
California’s aristocracy. Power with finesse, richness with restraint.
Château d’Yquem 1999 – Sauternes
The golden finale. Layers of honey, spice, and crystalline tension. A timeless icon.

Pre-Christmas tasting:
Chassage-Montrachet les Caillerets 2007 Marc Colin: I like a lot this domain and I have already tasted several similar bottles.
This time, the bottle is not showing well, the finish is very short and I even thought due to oxidative notes that it was on downhill.
We decided to decant it and to drink champagne. The blanc des millénaires 2006 was as amazing as the previous bottles tasted and we had a lot of pleasure.
After certainly more than 2 hours of decanting, we decided to taste again the chassage and this pint the bottle was completely different.
The nose was expressive and the palate still showed flavors of the evidence of oak: butter, vanilla but well balanced with agrumes. The finish was much longer. Impressive what decanting can do to a some wines...

Studach Chardonnay barrique 2015 : First time that I tasted a chardonnay from Studach and I was excited to open this bottle. Love the nose with notes of tropical fruits. The palate is rich, almost opulent, but well balanced with a touch of acidity. A bit too young for my palate but I will retaste it in a couple of years.
Cayas réserve 2011 Jean René Germanier: Had this magnum from a long time but I decided it was the perfect day to open it. Even if I know what I was opening, I didn’t clearly recognize the syrah. However, it’s an elegant and well balanced wine. I would expect more complexity but may be a big too young to open it in large format.
Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay Santenots du Milieu 2005 : I am a big fan of this domain but I almost drank only its whites. Let’s see a red with some age.
A bit disappointed, as this bottle seems not to be ready to be drunk. The nose is not really expressive and the palate, which is still young, lacks elegance. In my opinion like a lot of 2005, which should be a great vintage, most bottles are not at the level as they should be…
