Did you know that between 1925 and 1929 Osvaldo Fresedo recorded more tangos than from 1930 until the end of his life (and on some of them the pianist was the young Di Sarli!)? In this period Fresedo was so successful that in 1927 he kept five orchestras performing at the same time! Unfortunately, not a lot of his early recordings have reached us and today Fresedo is more popular with the music he recorded from the 30s onwards...
