Streaming platforms continue to be flooded with fake releases. And they still expect each individual artist to deal with it as if it were their problem alone.

Here are the names of over 200 musicians - mostly jazz but also other genres, living and deceased, from over a dozen contries - whose names have been used for fake AI-generated releases on streaming platforms without their knowledge or consent. This list is incomplete.

It has come to our attention that an EP called "I Don't Miss You" is currently circulating on Spotify, YouTube and other streaming platforms under my name. I did not record, authorise or release this music. It is fraudulent and we are taking steps to have it removed immediately. Please do not stream it. ✨️🎶✨️🎶 I am really excited to present this new project with 3 musicians I admire so much. I have played with .casado , .landfermann and in different settings before, but we have never played together as a band. On Tuesday, March 24, we’ll be performing together live for the very first time at the JazzCampus Basel before heading into the studio to record an album for Basel-based label Clap Your Hands.
