ELSA Basel

The Rule of Law Education Campaign (ROLE) is a project initiated by ELSA International in collaboration with ELSA Alumni to fill a gap in existing secondary school education on the topic of Rule of Law. It is rarely taught in secondary schools or if it is, it is only addressed in a rather abstract form. Furthermore, young people are generally not able to question structures or challenge decisions that lead to unfair or unjust outcomes. ROLE aims to empower young people to challenge structures or decisions that hamper or prevent fair and just outcomes. The project deals with purely legal topics and does not talk about politics.
