Sherian was born in Cointrin in the 90’s, next to Geneva’s airport. While based in Geneva, he did an exchange at Ale School of Fine Arts, Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, in 2018, before graduating from ECAL, Switzerland, in 2019.
During recent years, he has worked on institutional exhibitions, hip-hop music events, designs, video production, online and TV broadcasting and editing. Mainly writing, producing, installing and organizing cultural content depending on the needs and the demands of his environment, Sherian questions the contexts he works in.
In doing so, he discovers his political legacy and purpose, evaluates his own usefulness and legitimacy in said contexts and looks for relevancy within them as well as a purpose beyond validation or business.
Recently, he joined Inner Light, his most cherished project so far, which focuses on clothing and printmaking and started a MSc in Arts & Creative Industries Management in Paris.

We're excited to share our April text commission by artist and musician Cõvco: CONSCIENTEOFTHESOUL.
The text explores the mortality of a woman through rituals addressing limitations of the body and the mind and the fear of facing reality.
CONSCIENTEOFTHESOUL was originally part of a performance presented at South London Gallery and Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, in 2019 and 2020. Listen to the soundtrack while reading - all linked in our bio!
