🍎 Huge thanks to this creative and expressive team that dares to risk … like Philipp singing a song with an apple balanced on his head, which adds a natural poignancy to an intense dramatic moment: it’s the son singing to his beloved father, confused about whether or not he’s trying to kill him 😭 It’s an ancient motif – like Abraham and Isaac – and it’s part of what makes this story so timeless.

Kinderkonzert: ARMBRUST UND APFEL
Das Ensemble Zweigulden erzählt am kommenden Samstag die Geschichte von Wilhelm Tell, dem tapferen Held der Freiheit: Flöte, Trommel, Laute und Gesang geben die Sage wieder, in der Tell mit der Armbrust auf einen Apfel über dem Kopf seines Sohnes zielt.

🎶 Zweigulden’s unique staging of 16th-century repertoire from Strasbourg presents a powerful historical story while highlighting issues relevant to today’s audiences, such as politics, religion, social justice and mental health.
