Covid 19 management
Instructions to All members of Staff
All members of staff must play a role if we are to remain safe.
Therefore the following should be followed with immediate effect:
General
1. Wash your hands frequently…minimum every two hours
2. Maintain social distancing…at least 1 meter (3 feet) between yourself and your co-worker.
3. Wear your PPEs…this is a MUST and disciplinary action will be taken on anybody found flouting this requirement.
4. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
5. Practice respiratory hygiene…cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose off the used tissue immediately.
6. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, inform your immediate line manager and seek medical care early…stay home if you feel unwell…this will be treated as sick / annual leave.
7. Keep a diary record of all the people you interact with just in case one of them or you develop symptoms. Update this record, including contact details, where possible, regularly.
8. Retain the names and contact details of all these people for at least one month. This will help public health authorities trace people who may have been exposed to covid-19 if one or more of your contacts become ill shortly after the contact.
9. While covid-19 is a mild disease for most people, it can make some very ill. Around 1 in every 5 people who catch covid-19 needs hospital treatment.
Work stations
1. Make sure your work station is clean and hygienic
2. Surfaces (e.g. Desks and tables) and objects (e.g. Telephones, keyboards) need to be wiped with disinfectant regularly
3. You are advised not eat any food from the kiosks / streets
4. All food consumed within the premises must come from our kitchen
5. All kitchen utensils must be washed with soap and running water
6. The dining tables must be sanitized regularly and this fact documented
7. The reception table / seats must be sanitized regularly and this fact documented
8. The toilets, including the lock handles must be sanitized regularly and this fact documented
9. The stair case rails must be sanitized regularly and this fact documented.
10. All operators must sanitize any apparatus used in production before use.
11. All telephone heads must be sanitized regularly.
12. Sanitize your hand set regularly
13. Meals should be spread out such that at any one time…staff members are seated 1 meter apart
14. Sanitize your hands before and after meals.
15. Sanitize the soda bottle before opening it
16. Rearrange your working space to ensure that you are at least 1 meter from your nearest workmate.
17. If you have any symptoms of sickness take time off…we will count this time off as sick leave.
18. If you develop even a mild cough or low-grade fever (i.e. A temperature of 37.3 c or more) you should stay at home and self-isolate. This means avoiding close contact (1 meter or nearer) with other people, including your family members. You should also telephone a healthcare provider in addition to your line manager
When you get home from work
1. Remove your shoes before you enter your house
2. Do not hug or touch members of your family but go straight to the sink and sanitise your hands, sanitise your phones too with wet wipes, sanitise your hands again
3. Go to your room and remove your clothes
4. Shower
5. Sanitise your hands again
6. Sanitise any door handles that you touched.
7. Then interact with your family
Visitors to Prosoya
1. All visitors must be screened for temperature.
2. All visitors must sanitize their hands
3. Any items the visitor touches, including the seats they have used must be sanitized immediately after their departure.
4. All visitors, even if regular, must leave their details in the company visitors’ book…. Mobile telephone number, email etc.
5. The visitor’s book must be sanitized regularly with spirit
Travelling
1. Carry a small bottle (under 100 cl) of alcohol-based hand rub. This can facilitate regular hand-washing.
2. Wash your hands regularly and stay at least one meter away from people who are coughing or sneezing
3. Comply with any restrictions on travel, movement or large gatherings.
