Winnipeg Wasps Rugby

The Winnipeg Wasps Rugby Club would like to give a huge shoutout to our female representatives at the Florida Tropical 7’s Tournament.
Winnie Bruan took the field for the Magandaquins 7s and Tylie Fraser traveled for the U18 Elites program within MacDowell Academy. The Magandaquins won Pool B with a 3-0 lead on Day 1, while MacDowell finished 9th overall. Way to go!
Alix Bellemare and Stef Sheard also represented in a different fashion. Reffing in 7 games over 2 days making many successful calls and bringing their extensive knowledge of the game to the field each time.

As a club, we wanted to recognize and congratulate our female athletes in taking part in this tournament and bringing the Wasps energy wherever they go. It is always encouraged to explore and experience all that is rugby. 100 miles from home or 10000 miles from home, the smiles stay big.

🏉 If you want to play, but don’t have a team that’s ok 👍 individual players for rugby is $20, which includes a social ticket!! So you might as well come play 😉

🏉 We are also streaming 6 Nations on the big screen all day!! So if you need a place to watch rugby and have a beer…come out
