I wrote something about 2020. It's not a manifesto or anything but a personal take on a year that lots of people, understandably, want to forget. Please don't.
The single fact that you can read this is enough good reason to be thankful for. We made it this far. The last mile of a marathon is the hardest, hang in there.
Happy Holidays!
Thank you, 2020.
#2020
2020 - A year to remember As we approach the end of December, many people are counting off the days to finally say goodbye to this "dumpster-fire-gong-show" of a year. On the other hand, I will forever remember and cherish, the good moments (yes, there were quite a lot).

BEST OF THE YEAR
My favourite design blog Dieline just revealed the winners of the 2020 Dieline Awards! An amazing collection of label and package design and I'm very happy to see a Brazilian studio winning the first place in my favourite category: Beer!
The great people at StudioBah nailed this label design that is not only original but also sustainable and efficient.
Congrats!
This Beer Label Plays With Typography In Order to Create a Mysterious, Eye-Catching Look StudioBah created this mysterious, typography-driven label for Old Rogue’s Daydream, a brewery and bar located in Brazil.

Design in Space
Reading about the ambitious Space X program and the upcoming launch of the Crew Dragon Demo-2, the first crewed test flight of a spacecraft from US soil since 2008, currently scheduled to launch on May 27, 2020, I was impressed with the lean and almost "sic-fi" look of the new spacesuits that the 2 astronauts will wear.
The evolution of the spacesuit was always more concerned about the functionality and safety of the outfit, rather than its appearance. It's no surprise that Elon Musk's version of it would be not only safe and functional but also stylish!
Here's a brief timeline of the spacesuit evolution over the years. To infinity, and beyond!
In the mosaic picture:
1) Valentina Tereshkova's spacesuit, which is very similar to the one worn by Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space (1963) •2) Buzz Aldrin during the Apollo Mission (1969) • 3) Chris Hadfield, first Canadian astronaut (1995) • 4) Eileen Collins, the first female space shuttle pilot (1995) • 5) The Orion suit (2019) • 6) The Crew Dragon suit (2020)

CSS Witchcraft!
I love CSS and all the amazing things we can do with simple lines of code, but some people take this to the next level!
Web Designer Chris Pattle built the Simpsons characters out of pure CSS code! I was familiar with the PureCSS Lace by digital artist Diana Smith and this guy joins the club of the CSS wizards!

One of my passions is Package Design and more specific: Beer Package and Label design ;)
A Canadian icon just went through some deep redesign: Molson Canadian ! The oldest brewery in North America just launched a new collection of cans and bottle labels.
I loved! It's still recognizable but modern and fresh at the same time. Check this amazing article on The Dieline for more:
