I’m always drawn to the quieter corners of a space. The way light moves across it, the warmth in the wood tones, the small details that might go unnoticed at first but hold so much of the feeling.

I love photographing projects like this. There’s a richness in the materials and colour palette that immediately stands out. Warm wood tones, soft tile, and brass details all working together in a way that feels cohesive and intentional.

The longer I do this work, the more I find myself pausing in the places people usually pass through - the quiet spaces in between that connect everything else.

Tucked into the trees and perched above the lake, this one felt like a secret. Had the opportunity to head out to Kenora earlier this fall to photograph this gem of a cabin. Quiet, grounded and completely surrounded by water and woods.🌲
