* A landlord can’t lock out a tenant or turn off utilities to force someone to move.
* Except in emergencies, the landlord must give proper notice before entering a rental unit.
* Tenants should never be made to feel guilty or pressured about raising issues of maintenance or safety.
Knowing what is and isn’t allowed can avoid a lot of confusion for renters during a tenancy.
