The following summer after building the deck and fence, to finish off the backyard I built a custom pergola, flower beds and fire pit. 🔥
These additions to the backyard give it an intimate feel while also being a great atmosphere to entertain friends. 🌿
The birds, butterflies and bees love enjoying the surrounding flowers and the vines that grow up the pergola provide shade on hot summer days. ☀️

In two days I transformed our backyard from a desolate concrete/rock area to a comforting green space.
On day one, I started by removing all the concrete pads and rocks. Then dug up and moved the evergreen tree to a better location. Once that was done I designed and built our new deck to fit the space.
The next day I focused on removing the old fence and built a new taller fence in its place. I then added a small fenced-off gate between the house and fence for our dogs. I finished off the day by adding new soil and seeded the area to grow grass. 🌲👷🏻♂️🔨
