Last Sunday, we welcomed Rev. John Zondag as our guest preacher. He helped explore this idea of “coming together” with insights from Scripture.
Canada was not built by people who broke away - it was built by people who chose each other. And as people, we are called to do the same. 'Love your neighbor as yourself' is not just a nice idea - it is the foundation that brings down walls and builds something greater. We are stronger together.

On the 1st of July, we will be marking 159 years since Confederation. Confederation was the process by which separate British colonies in North America, three to begin with, came together to form a country for mutual support and defence.
Perhaps the idea of “coming together” has become one of Canada’s ongoing stories. It is also an unfinished one, calling us to truth, healing, and reconciliation.
This Sunday, we welcome Rev. John Zondag as our guest preacher. He will help us explore this idea of “coming together” with insights from scripture.
Person or obstacle?
Last Sunday at University Community Church, we reflected on Eckstein’s speech and looked at Luke 10:25–37, where Jesus pushes us to see past our assumptions, our labels, and our cultural barriers.
