🚛 Truck at the Border? Here’s How to Fix an Arrived ACE Manifest

When a truck is marked "Arrived," the manifest locks—but you aren't stuck. Before you do anything else, remember the golden rule: Never cancel an arrived trip. 🛑

Here is the quick-start guide to making corrections on the fly:

✅ For Simple Data Fixes
If you need to update weights, quantities, drivers, or ports, use the "Amend Completed Manifest" button.

The Flow: Edit your data ➡️ Select "Amend Completed Manifest" ➡️ Wait for the status to return to "Truck Arrived."

🔗 For Shipment & PAPS Changes
If you need to change a PAPS/SCN or add/remove cargo, a standard amendment won't work. You must use Shipment-Only Messages:

To Change/Add: Send the shipment as "Unassociated" first.
To Remove: Send a "Cancel Shipment Message" for that specific cargo.
To Finalize: Attach or detach the cargo from the trip once CBP accepts the message.

⚠️ Pro-Tip
Patience pays off! Always wait for CBP to accept one step before sending the next to avoid "Sequence Out of Order" errors.

If you’re entering Canada, you need a 4-character unique identifier from the CBSA.

🇺🇸 Step 2: Get Your U.S. SCAC Code
Heading South? CBP requires a Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC). This 2-to-4 letter code identifies your company in the U.S. system.
⚠️ Note: These must be renewed annually!

🏷️ Step 3: Order Your Physical Barcodes (PARS & PAPS)
Electronic manifests aren't enough—you still need physical stickers for your paperwork!

PARS (Canada): Carrier Code + unique shipment number.

PAPS (USA): SCAC Code + unique shipment number.
Make sure you order these from a certified printer like BorderPrint to ensure they scan correctly at the booth.
