This week, I delivered a cheque to the spouse of a client. I remember meeting with this client. We discussed his need for life insurance. At the time, he had a small mortgage that he didn't want to leave his wife responsible for in the event of a premature death.

Due to his age, the insurance was a little pricier than he was hoping. At one point, he debated with himself about "taking his chances" and investing those premiums instead.

Term insurance is not about investing, or returns, or taking chances. It is used to take care of your loved ones at the time they need it most.

I hate receiving these calls, but it makes me appreciate the tough conversations I have with people everyday.

Received these kind words from a client over the weekend. It definitely put a smile on my face this morning.
